The central Coast appellation ranges from the San Fransisco Bay all the way south to Santa Barbara. A cool region with strong Pacific influences, it is ideal for creating soft, fruity Pionot Noir.
This vintage combines fruit from Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties. The weather was unusually cool, allowing fruit flavors to mature without becoming overripe. The resulting has lovely cherry aromas balance by modest toasted oak. The palate is firm yet supple, and will accompany an array of food from salmon to pasta. While drinking well young, it will develop nicely for five or so years in a proper cellar. Enjoy!
