Vineyard Notes:
Nestled at the foot of the Palisades in the northern Napa Valley, our Lamb Vineyard is a source of great pride for my family over the past quarter century. Cabernet vines were planted in 1982 with a five-acre section re-planted in 1998. The vineyard produces extraordinary fruit with an average yield of two tons to the acre. The wine has remarkable purity with a rare combination of rich concentrated flavors, and elegant velvet texture. We are proud to be caretakers of such a remarkable piece of earth and to share its bounty with you.
Tasting Notes:
With its many complex layered flavors this is a wine that requires your attention. The aroma of blueberry gives the perfect prelude to the flavors of black current jam and tones of earthy minerals and exotic spices. Chewy tannins give the Lamb Vineyard Cabernet the elegant classic structure that has won the vineyard high acclaim.
